Why we call ourselves Satellite Talent 📡

If you’ve seen the news lately, you’ll know that space is having a huge moment right now!

Moon missions, new explorations, big bets on what’s next…

We’re not a space agency. Although, fun fact: we did help hire for a satellite engineer before. Not our usual startup/scaleup role… but it’s probably the closest we’ll get to becoming astronauts. 🧑‍🚀

With the week that’s in it, now feels like an appropriate time to share the meaning behind Satellite Talent.

🛰️ Where it all began

The idea didn’t start with space, but rather a focus on proximity.

When our co-founder, Isabel, was establishing the brand with our designer, Lisa, the idea of a satellite kept popping up.

So what does a mechanical space object have in common with an embedded recruitment firm?

🏃 Satellites don’t sit still

Satellites orbit a system.

They don’t sit inside it. They stay in constant motion, collecting live signals from the ground, reading patterns as they form, and feeding that information back so decisions can be made with clarity and speed.

That was the starting point for Satellite Talent, because embedded recruitment works in a similar way, but with people, not just data.

👥 Y(our) team

Each talent partner is fully embedded into one client at a time. We become part of the team, work with our client’s tools, join their comms channels, and operate as part of the hiring function day to day. We are integrated enough to understand the DNA of the companies we hire for, but detached enough to maintain objectivity. We’re not afraid to tell them how they could optimise their hiring.

We are also not limited to a single perspective. 🙂‍↔️

📶 Shared signals

Across Satellite Talent, our talent partners are constantly connected to each other. We share what we are seeing across different companies in real time, from how teams are structuring interviews, to how they are using tools, to what is slowing hiring down or improving decision making.

Those patterns matter. Because they come from continuous exposure to how different systems operate in practice.

So while each talent partner is orbiting one company, we are also part of a wider system that stays in constant motion around multiple clients, maintaining visibility, picking up signals as they change, and strengthening the quality of decisions being made inside each one. Our clients pay for one recruiter, but they get the additional knowledge of ten more.

🔮 The future isn’t fixed

Hiring looks different everywhere. Sometimes it’s a founder squeezing screening calls in between everything else, other times it’s a strong TA function that just needs an extra pair of hands to take over some roles, fast.

Recruitment in 2026 is never static. So why would the support around it be?

We firmly believe that the future of talent acquisition is an elastic talent team: a mixture of internal recruiters and embedded partners, along with agencies and AI where they add value.
